Among the changes in the new devices is the adoption of the USB-C standard in all phones, which is already used in Android devices, titanium construction for the Pro models, a 48 MP camera, and a lens with up to 5x optical zoom on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Specifically, the iPhone 15 Pro will also feature a power button capable of performing many actions and accessing more features, such as activating the camera and voice recorder.
Furthermore, Apple has invested in recyclable materials for the construction of the new smartphones, with the device’s casing made from 75% recycled aluminum, 100% recycled cobalt in the battery, and 100% recycled copper in other parts.
Size
The iPhone 15 will feature a 6.1-inch screen, while its larger version, the Plus, will have a 6.7-inch screen. Following the previous model, the display features Super Retina XDR OLED technology with a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits and support for Dolby Vision.
Camera
The iPhone 15 is now equipped with a 48 MP camera, promising to capture photos with greater detail and quality. The new camera will also automatically detect and switch to portrait mode, adding more intensity to the background blur.
Moreover, the focus can be edited after the photo is taken to highlight different types of people and objects. Apple also promises improved quality in capturing various skin tones.
The night mode on the iPhone 15 Pro has also been enhanced, now capturing more colors and details, in addition to a zoom that is five times more powerful than the previous generation.
Processors
Apple has chosen to stick with the same type of processor as the iPhone 14 for the new iPhones 15 and 15 Plus, the A16. However, the more robust versions, the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max, are equipped with the A17 Pro chip, which boasts 19 billion transistors.
Colors
The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will come in blue, pink, yellow, green, and black. As for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, which feature a titanium frame, they come in the natural colors of the material: blue, white, and black.
